Testimonials
“We will be forever grateful.”
"In October 2013, we realized that our adult son, Justin had a substance abuse problem. When he refused to go into rehab or get treatment, we had no idea what to do or where to turn. A good friend suggested we call Freddy Benjamin or “Ben” as he is known. From the time he was a teenager, Justin suffered from a serious anxiety disorder. Prescription medications did not work for him and therapy sessions were unsuccessful, as Justin was unable to communicate. Eventually, he began to abuse opiates as a way to self-medicate.
When Ben began to work with us, Justin was 29-years-old, had been unemployed for almost 4 years and rarely left the house. Ben came to our home each week to meet with Justin and was able to connect with him. This was huge, considering the failure of previous counselors. Ben also remained in constant contact with Justin and with us, through phone calls and text messages, offering much-needed encouragement and advice.
Ben helped Justin begin to overcome his anxiety syndrome, so he could move forward with his life. As a result of Ben's assistance, Justin went back to school and back to work. Ben also met with us regularly. With his guidance, we were able to help Justin confront his substance abuse problem and begin a path toward recovery. Ben taught us how to be compassionate toward our son, without enabling his opiate dependence. Ben helped our son when no one else could. He started Justin on the road to rehabilitation. He gave him a better chance of overcoming his substance abuse and building a productive future. For that, we will be forever grateful."
